The Drum collection, created in collaboration with Christopher Merchant, draws inspiration from two seemingly opposite worlds: the stark, industrial imagery photographed by Bernd and Hilla Becher, and the highly ordered patterns found in nature — mushroom gills, flower petals, refracted light. Merchant brings these influences together in a classic lamp profile that expresses the unique character and capabilities of modern 3D printing, a technological revolution in its own right.
